Tips to overcome stress

Stress, the very word brings us the thought of a very difficult and strained emotional feeling that we all experience at some point of time in our day to day life due to personal or professional reasons. There are many theories, therapies, and even medicines that can help us relieve stress. But what we fail to understand is, it all depends on how far you allow yourself to get affected due to a certain situation or a condition. We determine our peace of mind, we are the best judges of our doings and we are solely responsible for all that happens with us. Unless you allow it, there's no room for anything or anyone to affect your mind in any way.

This pandemic and work-from-home schedule have taken a toll on a lot of our mental well-being due to long working hours, a monotonous working environment and limited social life. A few pointers to how we can make it better. Start doing things that make you happy. Find your "ME" time. Identify the passion and interest that you wanted to pursue and try spending some time for it every day. It can be playing a sport or learning an instrument, a language, an artwork, or even cooking. Read a book of your choice, listen to good music and sing along, remember there is no one in a judging panel in your personal space. There are a lot of music apps available, trust me these are true stress busters. Go for a walk, preferably not on a treadmill. Set a routine for exercise or a workout session of Zumba/ aerobics/ HITI/Yoga and it's highly important that you stick to the schedule, it will help you feel fresh and light. Call your friends on the phone if you can't meet them, or anyone with whom you like to talk to during your break time. It will be of mutual help to both of you.

There's only one person responsible for the quality of your life, that is YOU!!!

Stay Safe! Stay Happy !
